If you haven’t checked out GLOW! yet, you really should. GLOW! is an outdoor light display which is fun for the whole family. Besides the thousands and thousands of colourful lights, there is live music and seasonal kiosks with local artisans selling all sorts of goodies for that special someone on your Christmas list.
We’ve been to GLOW! every year since it’s inception in 2017 and I will say that it just gets better and better!
The organizers have really thought of everything! There are so many fun activities for the kids – like face-painting, a scavenger hunt, a free craft corner, carnival-themed mini games and interactive play zones.
Best of all, the light displays are grander than ever with loads of opportunity for photo shoots. The kids will love the animals in shimmering playgrounds and the light tunnel. Returning this year is the GLOW-comotive train ride – always a hit with the littlest ones.
The theme for 2023 at GLOW! is The Christmas Carnival.
GLOW! has some great choices for your supper with food trucks offering yummy beef brisket sandwiches, pulled pork, seasoned fries, fish, chicken, poke, salads, sweets and children’s menus. Be sure to check out the FREE snack nights happening on Nov 23, Dec 12, Dec 14 and Dec 19. Dec 6 has been earmarked for seniors to receive $6 off admission and enjoy special live performances. Speaking of “live performances”, this year, my family vocal band, Sugar ‘n Sage is performing. You can catch us Friday, December 8th for our 5:15 and 6:15 shows. GLOW! has live entertainment every evening to add to the festive atmosphere.
Vendors this year include sellers of soaps, candles, fashion, wine, chocolate, clothing and Christmas decorations. There are fabulous poinsettias for purchase.
GLOW is a fun way to spend a couple of hours and get some ideas for Christmas giving or just to go photo-shoot crazy and be silly! Tickets must be purchased in advance and there are specific entry times. Plan on spending a couple of hours. Dress warm!
