It’s hard to believe that last year we were in Mexico, France, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Newfoundland and Costa Rica! Soon, our 2019 sojourns will be a distant memory. It’s time to think about 2020 travel plans.

We’re starting off the New Year in Cancun at Dreams Puerto Aventuras. It will be our “second annual” vacation with 2 other couples who enjoy getting away from the grim Canadian winter. I’m excited to “hablo espanol” as I have been working on my Spanish for over 2 years now. Stay tuned for a review of this property at then end of January.

We will be heading East in March – Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. Our only other Asia trip up till now has been Japan – which we loved. Very excited to venture further into these different countries and cultures.

August will be fun as we are doing a “safari” in my home province of Manitoba. Churchill Wild runs a Birds, Bears, Belugas “safari” from their properties on the Hudson Bay. The polar bears come down in the summer nosing around for tidbits and waiting for the freeze. I will also spend a few nights in Winnipeg which should be a trip down memory lane. Last time I was in the ‘Peg was 27 years ago! Hard to believe. I’m sure it has totally changed.

That leaves some time in the fall to plan something fun. I’m thinking a cruise as it has been some time since our amazing Baltic Cruise with Celebrity. Although, autumn is a lovely time to be in Europe! I’d welcome any suggestions.

Our bucket list is shrinking but there are still places I’d love to go including:
- Amalfi Coast
- Croatia
- Antarctica
- Iceland
- Patagonia
- Norway
- Grand Canyon/Yosemite Park/Antelope Park
- Quebec City
- St Lawrence River Cruise
- Drumheller & Dinosaur National Park
And, someday when I am brave, India.
Wishing you all a healthy, happy 2020!
Safe travels!
