2018 has certainly been an eventful year. Those of you who have been following along will recall that some of our travel plans were thwarted by a deadly MVA in Australia last January. No matter, we still enjoyed our Baltic Cruise and the Cornwall District of England.
Now that we are stronger, we have some exciting plans for 2019. In January we will visit an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta. This is an opportunity to unwind and connect with friends. In mid-March, we are heading to South Africa via Paris. We have never been further south in the Continent than Kenya, so this will be amazing. Our tour includes Botswana and Zimbabwe.
August should find us in Newfoundland and Labrador. We have vowed to explore our own magnificent country more and we have not yet been to St John’s, Twillingate, Corner Brook or the world renowned national parks in our most easterly province. On the way back, we will stop in Quebec City – another first for us.
Finally, next November, we will be returning to Costa Rica to explore the flora and fauna – particularly the birds. Colin is looking forward to an amazing year of birding.
If you have visited these areas and have some travel tips, please drop us a line. The best way to explore is often with the guidance of people who have “been there, done that”.
